![]() ![]() Whilst the influences heavily dictate direction, my bigger issues are with pacing and repetition. With some obvious homages to Heroes of Might and Magic, Crazy Goat Games has decided to take a stab at the genre with The Dragoness: Command of the Flame. It’s not a genre I get into often but tactical, turn-based RPGs can certainly engage me. With VII, I have to accept a few bugs, but I can easily live with them, even if I have to play a few maps over.Augin PS5 / Reviews tagged city-building / crazy goat games / dragons / heroes of might and magic / resource collecting / roguelite / the dragoness command of the flame / turn-based tactical rpg by Mike IV is in fact one of my favs, VI is very special and beautiful in its own way ( would have done better if claimed to be a spin-off from, I guess ), and VII really kept the HoMM spirit and story close to the originals. My first HoMM was II as well, and I was hooked I love all of them. ![]() Thank you so much, Andy ! Those games are now definiely on my wishlist, and Fanstratics especially so ( found it ! ) Originally posted by nway:Hi Talana, Well along with Dragoness (which I feel has a similar look to Homm V, Vi and VII ) and I cannot wait to play (sadly links on steam for the sign up to Alpha were both blocked by steam as possibly dubious links, awaiting reply from developer re this ) There is : I do hope Dragoness makes it through to completion along with the others too. It was no II that introduced me to the series and I still love that too. Is III my favourite ? Yes but you can still love all the others too in my book. I enjoy playing them all and have no problems at all in IV, VI or VII. Also unlike alot of people out there I just want to say I love ALL the HOMM series including the UBIsoft ones which come in for alot of criticism. Songs of Conquest a pixel HOMM III looking variation, Sefirot Shards a mix of HOMM with cards in play also, and Fanstratics which will be the most similar to HOMM being developed by a developer who actually worked on HOMM III but will be a longer wait for this one as much earlier in development but the other two all due out in 2022 along with Dragoness so I will be in post HOMM heaven.
